2:00 p.m. -- The Sooners shot a 297 (+9) in Sunday's rain-filled round to finish in fifth place at the Big 12 Championship. Despite rainy and windy conditions for much of the tournament, the Sooners' three-round 888 (+24) represented their best ever score in the 15-year history of the Big 12 Championship, topping their previous event low of 912 in 2002 when they finished in second place. Freshman Chirapat "Ja" Jao-Javanil was OU's best scorer on the day and on the weekend. Jao-Javanil shot a 1-over 73 Sunday to finish the tournament tied for 10th place.
Here are highlights from the final round:
6:50 a.m. -- The final round of the Big 12 Championship is here. The Sooners are warming up on the putting greens and driving range in preparation for their shotgun start at 8:00. The girls will be starting on holes 5-9. OU has started off slow in the first two rounds but have played significantly better on the back nine. The coaches think starting halfway through the front nine can really benefit the girls and help them get off to a strong start.
