NORMAN, Okla. -- The 10th-ranked University of Oklahoma women’s golf team fell one spot to 12th place after Saturday’s round at the 15-team PING/ASU Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. The Sooners recorded a second-round 303 (+15) at the 6,223-yard, par-72 ASU Karsten Golf Course.

OU stands at +23 in the event, which features nine teams ranked in Golfweek’s top 12. No. 7 South Carolina leads the elite field with a 36-hole 568 (-8). Sixth-ranked Arizona State, the host school, and No. 3 Duke are tied for second place at -2.

Anne-Catherine Tanguay leads the Sooners, carding a day-two 74 (+2) and a 36-hole 144 (even par). The senior is tied for 16th place out of 81 competitors.

OU senior Emily Collins shot a second-round 76 for a two-round 148 (+4). She is tied for 36th place.

Alexandra Kaui carded 78 (+6) on Saturday. The Sooner freshman, who was at 2 over par on the day through 14 holes before recording double bogeys on 15 and 18, is tied for 61st place individually at +9.

Oklahoma’s Chirapat Jao-Javanil is tied for 69th place with a two-round 155 (+11) after her second-round 76 (+4). Fellow senior Kaitlyn Rohrback is in 71st place individually at 156 (+12). She shot a day-two 77 (+5).

Fifth-year OU head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said she hopes her team can relax and enjoy Sunday’s final round.

“It’s important for us to have a fresh mind going into tomorrow’s round,” Drouin-Luttrell said. “Our biggest thing is to have fun. We’ve put a lot of emphasis on scores versus letting things happen.”

The Sooners will begin Sunday’s final round at 10:26 a.m. CT. Live stats can be found at Golfstat.com.
