NORMAN, Okla. - The No. 22 University of Oklahoma wrestling team fell to No. 7 Missouri, 26-8, Saturday night at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.

It was a tough contest for the young OU squad, as all but one of Missouri's wrestlers is ranked in the top 25. With the loss, Oklahoma drops to 6-7 on the year, while Missouri improves to 11-2.

Two Sooners walked off the mat with individual wins courtesy of No. 1 141-pounder Kendric Maple and No. 4 165-pounder Bubby Graham.

The first two matches were close wins for Missouri, who notched a 6-0 team lead after freshman Kyle Garcia dropped a 6-3 decision to undefeated and second-ranked 125-pounder Alan Waters, and No. 8 Cody Brewer fell to No. 5 Nathan McCormick in the 133-pound scuffle, 5-2.

Maple secured Oklahoma's first victory of the night with a 23-8 tech fall, his third of the season, over Nicholas Hucke to get OU on the board with five points. The redshirt junior remains undefeated on the year with an improved 22-0 overall and 12-0 record in dual competition.

Both of the Lester brothers dropped their respective matches after No. 13 Drake Houdashelt topped No. 11 Nick Lester with a 3-0 decision in the 149-pound matchup, and No. 15 Kyle Bradley defeated No. 16 Matt Lester with a narrow 3-2 decision in the 157-pound bout.

Graham topped his fourth-straight ranked opponent of his senior season with a 3-1 decision over No. 14 Zach Toal with a last second takedown. With the win, Graham improves to 19-2 overall and 11-2 in dual action on the year.

The Tigers claimed the final four matches of the night with two decisions and a pair of major decisions in the 174, 184, 197 and heavyweight bouts to secure the dual win.

The Sooners will have a week off of competition before returning to the mats on Feb. 17, in Corvallis, Ore., for the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals. The contest will be Oklahoma's final regular-season event of the year, with the Big 12 Championships held March 8-9 and NCAA Championships held March 21-23.
