NORMAN – Oklahoma men’s golf alumni Will Kropp and Max McGreevy will compete in the final stage of the Tour Qualifying Tournament, Thursday through Sunday.

The event will be held at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. Kropp and McGreevy have both earned conditional Tour status for 2018.

The winner of the event will be fully exempt for the entire season, while the top-10 finishers will be exempt for the first 12 events of 2018. The top 11-45 finishers will receive exempt status for the first eight events of the 2018 slate.

Kropp had a strong summer and tied for second at the Land Charity Championship in June on the Tour in his fourth tour start. During his OU career, Kropp tied the school record for the lowest 18-hole score in program history with a 63 at the 2011 Desert Shootout and earned PING Honorable Mention All-America honors as a junior in 2012.

McGreevy led the Sooners to the 2017 NCAA Championship and has competed on the Mackenzie Tour since turning professional in June. McGreevy earned three top-10 finishes and was 17th on the Mackenzie Tour Order of Merit at the conclusion of the year. To qualify for the Final Stage, McGreevy took second place at the Tour Second Stage Qualifying event in October.
