NORMAN - With the first week of classes wrapping up at the University of Oklahoma, the OU women’s basketball team enjoyed the chance to reconnect with fans Thursday for its annual Fast Break Club Ice Cream Social.

The event concludes a busy week for the Sooners which included the start of class Monday and team meetings.

Ice cream, cookies, cakes and brownies filled the tables at Norman’s Reeves Park, all prepared by members of the Fast Break Club.

Head coach Sherri Coale and the Sooners took time to mingle with fans throughout the evening as well taking time to answer questions about the upcoming season. Fans also had their first chance to meet OU’s incoming freshmen class.

Fans got a chance to particpate in a Q&A session with the team as the Sooners previewed the upcoming year.

Players, coaches and staff spent nearly two hours interacting with fans and supporters. Coale also updated Fast Break Club members on the offseason, introduced the 2017-18 roster to fans while each player discussed what they’ve improved on and are looking forward to in the upcoming season.
