Suzuki Named to U.S. Team for Pan Am Games
NORMAN – University of Oklahoma outgoing senior Genki Suzuki has been named one of five competing members of the U.S. team for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, July 27-31.
Suzuki was determined a team member following a training camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado, Springs, Colo., over the weekend. Also attending the camp to train for the upcoming U.S. Championships and World Championships later this year were fellow outgoing senior Yul Moldauer and OU alumni Allan Bower and Colin Van Wicklen.
The five-time OU All-American, Suzuki, will be joined in Peru later this summer by fellow U.S. team members Cameron Bock (Michigan), Grant Breckenridge (Stanford), Brody Malone (Stanford) and Robert Neff (Stanford) and traveling alternates Adrian de los Angeles (USOTC) and Riley Loos (Technique Gymnastics).

The Pan Am Games will be one of numerous international trips Suzuki will be making this summer as a member of the U.S. Senior Men's National Team. Suzuki, along with Moldauer, Bower, Van Wicklen and OU head coach Mark Williams will head to Japan June 15-21 for a training camp in Funabashi in preparation for next summer's Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The quartet will also compete at the 2019 U.S. Championships in Kansas City, Mo., August 8-11, with other current and former Oklahoma gymnasts.
