In addition, four Sooners were named to the All-Big 12 Team: senior Kalie Heffernan, junior Katie Denney and sophomores Breah McKay and Maria Pergouli.

The Sooners claimed two silver-medal placings, a bronze and two fourth-place finishes on the day.

OU's second varsity eight boat finished fourth in 6:54.214 in a tight 2V8 final behind respective boats Texas, Kansas State and Alabama. The margin between second and fourth place was less than three seconds.

The 1V8 boat closed out the Sooners' day strong with another second-place finish (6:40.582), crossing ahead of Alabama, Kansas, Tennessee, Kansas State and West Virginia.

In the automatic-qualifying scores, Texas claimed first with 42 points, followed by affiliate member Alabama with 31 points. OU was one point shy of Alabama in AQ points with 30, while K-State (23), Kansas (20), Tennessee (16) and West Virginia (6) rounded out the AQ standings.

With Texas earning the automatic qualifier bid to the NCAA Championships, the Sooners would need to be selected as an at-large team, which will be announced later this week.
