Gregory Named Oklahoma Prep Player of the Year

NORMAN – Oklahoma women’s basketball signee Gabby Gregory was named the Oklahoma Girls Prep Player of the Year by USA Today High School Sports on Wednesday.

Gregory was also a first-team All-Oklahoma selection by USA Today High School Sports for the second straight season. She finished her career with 2,701 career points, becoming just the fourth player in state history to record 2,500 points and 1,000 rebounds. As a senior, Gregory averaged 23.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game at Holland Hall Prep in Tulsa, Okla.

The Sapulpa, Okla., native ranks eighth all-time state history with 2,701 points during her high school career. She was recently named the Oklahoman’s Super 5 Player of the Year and a first-team all-state selection by the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association.

In March, Gregory was also recognized as the Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year, the third straight OU signee to earn the award joining Ana Llanusa (2017) and Jessi Murcer (2018).

Gregory is ranked the No. 16 wing and No. 65 overall by Prospect Nation in the 2019 class.
