Softball's 2019 TV Schedule Announced
NORMAN — The No. 4 Oklahoma softball team will have 17 of its regular season games televised, the Big 12 and OU’s athletics department announced Friday.
Six contests will air on the ESPN family of networks, one on FSN, one on FS1 and nine (all at home) on Sooner Sports TV Powered by FOX Sports.
Oklahoma will have four games aired through ESPN at the inaugural St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational Feb. 14-16. OU’s games against Kentucky (Feb. 14) and Florida State (Feb. 15) will both air on ESPNU while the Sooners’ matchups with Notre Dame (Feb. 14) and Hofstra (Feb. 16) will be broadcast via ESPN3.
Additionally, four of the Big 12’s national broadcasts will involve the Sooners and seven of the nine Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship contests will also be televised. The first two games of OU’s series against Baylor are included in the league’s national coverage: the game on April 5 will air on FS1 at 6:30 p.m. and the contest on April 6 will air on ESPN at 7 p.m.
A pair of Bedlam games will also be broadcast nationally: May 4 on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. and May 5 on FSN at 3 p.m.
Nine of the Sooners’ televised games will be SSTV broadcasts, beginning with contests against Oregon State and Louisiana on March 1. The following weekend, all four of OU’s home games will be aired through SSTV with games against Northwestern on March 8, Drake and Grand Canyon on March 9 and a second clash with Northwestern on March 10. SSTV has also picked up OU’s midweek game against North Texas (March 20) and the series finale against Baylor on April 7.
Every 2019 OU softball game also can be heard on KEBC 1560 AM with Chris Plank once again calling the action.
