Baseball Reschedules Exhibition Against Dallas Baptist
NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma baseball team had its two previously scheduled fall exhibitions rained out, but the Sooners have scheduled a makeup of one of those games. OU will play host to Dallas Baptist on Friday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Park. Admission will be free.
Oklahoma was originally scheduled to host Arkansas on Sept. 22 and Dallas Baptist on Oct. 13, but both contests were washed out by forecast inclement weather on each date. The fall exhibition games are part of a new rule allowing college baseball teams to play up to two exhibition contests against outside competition during the fall practice period.
All OU fall baseball practices take place at L. Dale Mitchell Park and are open to the public.
The Sooners baseball and softball teams are teaming up for the second straight year to host a Halloween Game on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The two Sooner programs have launched a fundraising campaign with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to support The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center. The fundraiser will culminate with the intrasquad scrimmage, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 at Marita Hynes Field. Click here for more information and how to donate.
