Sooners to Face North Texas in Exhibition Match

NORMAN – The Oklahoma soccer team will travel to Denton, Texas for its first and only exhibition matchup on Friday as the Sooners take on North Texas at 7 p.m. at the Mean Green Soccer Stadium.

OU enters the 2018 season with six returning starters, including 2017 All-Big 12 first-team selection Kaylee Dao. The Sooners added an eleven-member signing class in Abigail Bancroft, Cameron Tharp, Chloe Bohanon, Hailey Davidson, Megan McClay, Jackie Stacy, Jasmine Richards, Lauren Tovy, Megan Reilly, Olivia Smith and Paige Thompson.

OU and North Texas last met in 2014 with the Sooners earning a 2-1 victory in double overtime. The Mean Green are the defending Conference USA Tournament champions and boast the 2018 C-USA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year in Dominique James.
