NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma rowing team climbed two spots in this week’s CRCA/US Coaches Rankings and rank a season-best 18th after a solid weekend at the Clemson Invitational.
OU collected six top-three finishes at the two-day regatta, competing against 20 other D-I programs including seven nationally ranked teams. The 2V8 placed third in two of its three races over the weekend while the 1V4 earned a second-place and a third-place finish at the regatta. OU’s 2V4 claimed the team’s only victory and placed third on Saturday.
The Sooners, who earned 74 points, are one of two Big 12 teams in the CRCA Rankings with Texas sitting at No. 3.
OU travels to Austin, Texas to compete in the Longhorn Invitational on Saturday, April 28 for its regular season finale.
