NORMAN – Oklahoma women's basketball signee Madi Williams scored six points and dished three assists in the 2018 Jordan Brand Classic Sunday inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Williams' Away team fell 89-88.
Williams, a 6-0 wing who is rated the No. 8 overall prospect by Prospect Nation, finished 3-of-6 from the field in 12 minutes of action, picking up one rebound and one steal. Williams was key in a 51-15 run over two quarters that allowed the Away squad to get back into the game.
This was the second All-Star game appearance for Williams in as many weeks. She led the East squad in scoring at the 2018 McDonald's All-American Game with 13 points and logged seven rebounds on March 28.
This season at Trinity Valley School, Williams averaged over 25 points, 15 rebounds and four steals per contest as a senior. Williams averaged 20.0 points per game as a junior at Trinity Valley School, while participating in trials for USA Basketball’s 2016 U16 World Championship Team and the 2017 U17 World Championship Team.
