NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department has announced several details surrounding the April 14 spring football game, including a pregame concert inside Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium by country music star Trace Adkins.

Adkins, who has sold more than 11 million albums, won three Academy of Country Music Awards and has a long track record of supporting U.S. troops and veterans (he has served as a spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Project and participated in 12 USO tours), will start his concert set at 12:30 p.m. in the stadium's north end zone stands. The spring game is scheduled to kick off at approximately 1:15 p.m.

Tickets for OU football season ticket holders are $5. Season ticket holders should log in to their season ticket account to order, or can call the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424 or toll-free at (800) 456-4668 during normal business hours. Tickets for non-season ticket holders are $10. Online orders are subject to a nominal convenience fee at the time of purchase, and additional fees may apply.

The OU Athletics Department is also offering a limited number of $25 tickets that will allow fans on the field for the concert and provide seating for the game in Section 5 (west side of stadium near midfield). All other seating is general admission, and normal game entry policies remain in place relative to permitted items. Campus parking lots will be open and free of charge for fans, and stadium gates will open to the public at 11 a.m.

OU's spring game will once again salute the Sooner Jr. program with elementary school partners across the State. Students in selected school districts will receive a flyer at school that can be redeemed for one complimentary admission for a student and up to three guests. Students can present this flyer at Gate 5 for admittance.

OU students will receive free admission to the game by showing a current OU ID at the gate. Sooner Jr. Kids Club members will also receive complimentary admission, and parents of Sooner Jr. Kids Club members may purchase tickets for $5 (look for information via email).

A list of ancillary activities taking place on April 14, as well as additional game day information, is below:

The day's festivities begin at 7:30 a.m. with the annual OU Spring Sale in McCasland Field House with vendors including the OU Bookstore, the OU Equipment Room and retail outlets selling a wide variety of apparel and Sooners' merchandise.

Please Note: Shopping in the OU equipment room space will be timed this year. The first group of fans will have 10 minutes to shop. At the end of the 10 minutes those fans will be moved to the check-out zone and a new group of fans will be allowed into the space. This process will continue until the end of the sale or until the amount of product remaining no longer warrants the time limit. Fans are allowed to get back in line and shop as many times as they'd like, but shopping bags will not be allowed to re-enter. Fans will be able to pay with cash or credit card.

Starting at 9:30, fans will be able to purchase tailgating cuisine from some of the area's top food trucks, as well as enjoy music, sponsor interactives and the GoVision Jumbotron at Fan Fest in the McCasland Field House parking lot (northwest corner of Jenkins Ave./Brooks St. intersection).

Food trucks scheduled to be on hand include: The Meating Place, Midway Deli, Phill Me Up Cheesesteaks, That Pie Place and The Trailer by OU Food and Housing.

The Sooner Sports Network radio broadcast will begin at 12:30 p.m. The game can be heard on 107.7 FM The Franchise in Oklahoma City and 97.5 FM KMOD in Tulsa, and will be streamed on TuneIn Radio. Check local listings for an affiliate in your area.

Sooner Sports TV's live broadcast of the spring game will start at 1 p.m. on FOX Sports Southwest, SoonerSports.tv and the SoonerSports apps including Apple TV and Roku. Chad McKee, Dusty Dvoracek and Jessica Coody will announce. OU's "Sooner Gameday" show will air at 12:30 p.m.

Game programs will be available for purchase for $3 at select locations in and around the stadium.

At 10 a.m., a Bob Stoops recognition and statue dedication will take place on the lawn directly south of the Switzer Center. Stoops, who guided OU to bowl games in each of his 18 seasons as head coach, is the program's all-time wins leader with a 190-48 (.798) record. The ceremony will be free and open to the public. Stoops will also be recognized during the spring game.

Want to take your picture with Baker Mayfield's 2017 Heisman Trophy? You can do it inside Gate 7 the day of the spring game from 11 a.m. until just before halftime.

Heisman Memorial Trophy representatives will be on hand to officially present the OU Athletics Department with its copy of Baker Mayfield's 2017 trophy during the game.

OU's special teamers will kick some Lincoln Riley autographed footballs into the stands during the first half.

Three fans will be randomly selected to head to the sideline to help head coach Lincoln Riley call an offensive play. Fans can enter to win the opportunity at the poster table inside Gate 7 on the stadium's northeast corner.

Hey OU students: think you can beat junior wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown in a 50-yard sprint? No? What if he gives you a 10-yard head start? You can find out on April 14, when one OU student will be selected to race Brown during a break in the game. If the student wins, they will receive a free swag bag of Sooners gear. Contest hopefuls may enter the drawing at the student tailgate the day of the game. The tailgate will run from 10:30 to 12:30 on the lawn in front of Wagner Hall, and the drawing will occur at noon.

One OU student will have the opportunity to win free tuition for a semester, courtesy of head coach Lincoln Riley and the athletics department, by making progressive field goal attempts from 20, 30 and 40 yards. An autographed Riley football will be awarded for a 20-yard make, $500 will be awarded for a 30-yard make and free tuition for a 40-yard conversion. The student must make each kick to progress to the next level. Students may enter the contest at the student tailgate the day of the game. The tailgate will run from 10:30 to 12:30 on the lawn in front of Wagner Hall, and the drawing will occur at noon.
