klahoma women's basketball awaits its postseason fate, but the Sooners' resumè sticks out. OU played the second toughest schedule in the country this season, trailing just Notre Dame, while picking up eight top 100 RPI wins. 

The Sooners also faced seven teams that finished in the top two in their respective leagues during non-conference play, including: UConn (AAC/1st), Belmont (OVC/1st), DePaul (Big East/T-1st), Oregon (Pac 12/1st), Little Rock (1st/Sun Belt), South Florida (2nd/AAC) and South Dakota State (2nd/Summit).

The Sooners also finished with double-digit wins in the Big 12 for the 12th time in the last 13 seasons. A Big 12 team that has won 10-plus conference games has been nearly a lock for the Big Dance in the past.

Second-toughest schedule played during the regular season and third toughest during non-conference play. OU faced a pair of top 10 opponents on the road (Oregon and UConn), while also traveling to DePaul, Little Rock and South Dakota State.


Five non-conference opponents won their postseason tournament title: Belmont, DePaul, Oregon, South Dakota State and UConn.


Played at six AP top 10 teams during the regular season, the second most among Power 5 teams (7, Kentucky). Four of those matchups came on the road.


Played seven games against AP top 25 opponents on the road.


Eight top 100 RPI wins, including victories over Belmont and South Florida. Both Belmont (No. 23) and South Florida (No. 19) are now ranked inside the AP poll heading into the postseason.


Played 11 top 25 opponents, the most of any team in the Big 12. OU picked up victories over then No. 16 USF and No. 21 West Virginia.


OU recorded 11 Big 12 wins, for 12th time in the last 13 years to secure a top-4 finish in conference.  A Big 12 team has only been left out of the NCAA Tournament with 11 league victories one time (Texas Tech, 1997). The Big 12 has also had at least four teams in the NCAA Tournament in each season the last 22 years. 


Won 12 of its last 13 games over unranked opponents dating back to Dec. 9.


OU's RPI currently sits at No. 34 in the latest RPI release by the NCAA.
