After Week Off, Sooners Remain No. 1

NORMAN – With no NCAA competition last weekend, the Oklahoma men’s gymnastics team remained No. 1 in this week’s national rankings.
OU’s top-ranked three-score average of 422.133 remains nearly 11 points above the second-best mark. The Sooners hold the best average on pommel horse (70.283), parallel bars (71.183) and high bar (69.767) and rank second on still rings (70.283), vault (72.267) and fourth on floor (70.167).
Levi Anderson remains tied at No. 1 in the all-around rankings with an 83.000 average and ranks fourth on high bar (14.283) and 10th on parallel bars (14.167).
Yul Moldauer owns the top average on parallel bars (15.117) for the second straight week. The junior is tied for second on still rings (14.750) and is in fourth on floor (14.533).
Genki Suzuki held on to the No. 1 high bar ranking (14.533) and sits in fifth on parallel bars (14.317) and seventh on pommel horse (14.317).
Hunter Justus is tied for seventh on vault (14.633) and Reese Rickett ranks eighth on still rings (14.250).
The Sooners return McCasland Field House for “Senior Night” on March 10 at 7 p.m. against California. They will honor seniors Hunter Justus and Reese Rickett in the final home meet of their storied careers.
