NORMAN – A trio of Oklahoma gymnasts swept the Big 12 weekly awards for the third time this season. Senior Stefani Catour (Event Specialist), sophomore Maggie Nichols (Gymnast) and freshman Anastasia Webb (Newcomer) were each honored by the conference Tuesday.

Catour was honored for the second time this season and fifth of her career. This is the fifth time this season Nichols has been honored as the Gymnast of the Week, and eighth of her career. Nichols was also named the Newcomer of the Week seven times in 2017, giving her 15 career accolades, tying the most in OU program history. Webb was honored as the Newcomer of the Week for the seventh time this season, tying Nichols for most newcomer accolades in program history.

Nichols was named the Gymnast of the Week after an incredible performance against No. 7 Michigan. The sophomore earned a perfect score on both vault and beam to bring her career total to 11. Nichols now has six perfect 10s on beam, three on vault, one on floor and one on bars. She finished the night with a 39.900 mark in the all-around for the second time this season. Nichols is the only gymnast to post multiple scores of at least 39.8 or higher this season with three such marks. She tied her season high on bars with a 9.95 and added another 9.95 on floor.

Catour paced the Sooners to an incredible 49.700 on beam, leading off with a career-high 9.950. The senior placed second in the meet on beam as one of just two gymnasts to record a 9.95 or higher on the apparatus. Catour was also steady on bars, scoring a 9.875 in the No. 3 spot.

Webb tallied three scores of 9.9 or higher for the second time this season, putting up a 39.525 in the all-around. Her mark in the all-around was the third time this season she has posted at least a 39.500 or higher and her third-best score of the year. The freshman posted matching scores of 9.9 on vault, beam and floor to take third at the meet on floor and beam and fourth on vault. She has scored a 9.9 or higher on beam four times, helping lead the Sooners to their No. 1 ranking on the apparatus.

The Sooners will host their final home meet of the season March 9 at 6:45 p.m. Seniors Natalie Brown, Stefani Catour, Sam Craus and AJ Jackson will be honored in a post meet ceremony.
