NORMAN – Oklahoma men’s golf junior Brad Dalke was selected to the Haskins Award Watch List, Golfweek released on Thursday.
Created by the Haskins Commission, the Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel is presented to the “Most Outstanding Collegiate Golfer of the Year.” Known as the “Heisman of Golf”, the Haskins Award has been named in honor of Fred Haskins, who dedicated his career as Head Professional at the Country Club of Columbus in teaching junior golfers the art of competitive golf.
The Haskins Award winner is annually voted on by Division I players, coaches, and select golf media, thus truly making it the players award.
Dalke is currently ranked No. 15 by GolfStat and was recently named to the Ben Hogan Award Watch List last week. The junior has recorded four top-10 finishes this season and led the Sooners with a 69.85 scoring average in the fall.
A PING Honorable Mention All-American last year, Dalke helped the Sooners claim the 2017 NCAA Championship a year ago. The junior was recently slotted No. 12 in the latest Palmer Cup rankings.
Dalke and the Sooners return to action March 5-7 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nev.
