NORMAN – Season ticket renewals for the 2018 University of Oklahoma baseball and softball seasons went out on Wednesday morning. Additional season tickets to Sooner baseball are available through the OU Athletic Ticket Office, while additional softball season ticket availability will be based on the number of renewals returned. Single-game tickets for both sports go on sale Jan. 31. To renew your season tickets or purchase a new package, fans can do so through SoonerSports.com or by calling the ticket office at 405-325-242 or 1-800-456-GoOU.
Baseball is scheduled to host 33 games at L. Dale Mitchell Park beginning with its home opener on Feb. 21 against Abilene Christian. Softball welcomes Missouri State on March 2 for its first of 22 home contests at Marita Hynes Field.
Reserved season tickets for both sports go for $250 per seat. Baseball reserved seats have expanded to boxes 1-4 plus 5, 7 and 9. To request specific seats, fans will need to purchase tickets over the phone. A general admission ticket at baseball costs $200, while general admission at softball costs $150. Season tickets for youth/senior citizens, faculty/staff and OU letterwinners cost $180 at baseball and $120 at softball.
Highlighting the baseball schedule is a non-conference series against SEC opponent Alabama (March 2-4). The Sooners also play host to Oklahoma State (March 27) in a non-conference Bedlam match-up. The Red River Showdown comes to L. Dale Mitchell Park this season as OU welcomes Texas (April 13-15).
Mini-plan packages for baseball will go on sale Jan. 10. This plan includes Friday games against Alabama (March 2), Texas A&M Corpus Christi (March 9), West Virginia (March 23), Baylor (March 30) and Kansas State (May 4) plus the Sooners’ Saturday contest against Texas (April 14). Applications for the Bedlam baseball series will be sent in January to season ticket holders who return their initial request application during the renewal period. Additional tickets will be available at a later date.
Sooner softball will hold a pair of tournaments on its home field beginning with Missouri State (March 2-3) and Abilene Christian (March 3-4) and followed by Illinois State (March 9/11), Indiana (March 9) and South Carolina (March 10-11). Texas Tech (March 23-25) visits Norman for the start of conference play. OU then takes on Kansas (April 13-15) before hosting Texas (April 27-29). The Sooners host Oklahoma State (May 2/5) for a pair of home Bedlam match-ups.
