NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team finished its 2017 season with a 3-0 sweep to TCU at McCasland Field House on Saturday afternoon. The Sooners ended with a 7-22 overall mark and 4-12 Big 12 record, while the Horned Frogs went to 12-16 and 4-12.
Junior outside hitter Alyssa Enneking (League City, Texas) led all players with 15 kills to go with nine digs. She concluded the season with 425 kills; falling five shy of OU’s single season record in the 25-point, rally-scoring era (2008-present). Enneking moves toward her senior season with 766 career kills as she aims to become the 14th player in program history with 1,000 kills.
Lexi MacLean paced TCU with 13 kills and hit .265 with six digs. Anna Walsh and Sarah Swanson each added eight kills.
Junior setter Audrey Alford (Norman, Okla.) collected 30 assists and tied Enneking for the team lead in digs at nine. Lamprini Konstantinidou and Tori Dilfer split the setting duties for the Horned Frogs. Konstantinidou tallied 21 and Dilfer chipped in with 15.
The Sooners honored three seniors prior to the match; Leslie Atherton (Tulsa, Okla.), Emma Kelly (Houston, Texas) and Rachel Manriquez (Edmond, Okla.). Atherton finished her career with 55 kills, while Kelly totaled 476 digs and Manriquez totaled 823.
