The OU Tennis Club is pleased to announce Nei Dos Santos as its new head tennis pro. Nei is also the women’s tennis team volunteer coach. Nei is originally from Brazil and during his junior career was ranked in the top 30. Nei played college tennis at Cowley County Community College in Kansas where he was selected All-American and finished the year ranked 3rd in the nation in doubles. 2014 he graduated from Newman University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration while playing the number one position in both singles and doubles. While attaining his Master’s degree at Newman University he was the Graduate Assistant for both men’s and women’s tennis teams.
Nei started his coaching career while in Brazil through a service project which provided free tennis lessons to public school students. After moving to the United States he worked in Rye, New York, as first assistant for the past six summers working with all ages and levels of players. During this time he also worked with high performance juniors.
Nei is teaching Sooner Tennis Academy and is also available for private lessons.
