OU novice team set for Head of the Colorado

NORMAN – Oklahoma’s novice rowing team is set for its final scrimmage of the fall season when the Sooners travel to Austin, Texas, for the Head of the Colorado.

This weekend’s regatta, also known as the PumpkinHead Regatta, is a 4,000-meter rowing head race held annually on the last Saturday in October.

The Sooners will feature five boats in two races this weekend, which marks the 34th edition of the regatta.

OU will begin the weekend in the women’s novice 4+ with a pair of boats racing at 9:43 a.m., before closing the day with three boats in the women’s 8+ at 12:05 p.m.
