GAMEDAY STORYLINES

WEEKEND RECAP
The Sooners split the weekend against Kansas and Kansas State. OU fell, 3-1, to the Jayhawks Friday night before picking up a huge 3-2 win over Kansas State on Sunday. The win over K-State was the first Big 12 win of the season and the first win since Sept. 10 when the Sooners topped Illinois at home.

Despite dropping their Senior Night game against Kansas, three seniors had a hand in two of the goals scored in Sunday’s victory. Tori Bowman assisted on the final two goals, while Rasha Roberts netted the equalizer and Lizzie Luallin scored the game winner.

WIN AND IN!
With a victory on Sunday, the Sooners earned the final spot in the Big 12 Tournament, mathematically eliminating Iowa State and Kansas State. Oklahoma currently has six points in the standings (one win, three ties) and is tied with its Friday opponent, Texas Tech, for eighth place. A Sooner loss and K-State win on Friday would leave both teams at six points, but OU owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Wildcats.

ON THE HORIZON: BIG 12 TOURNAMENT
The 2017 Big 12 Soccer Championship will take place Nov. 1, 3 and 5 in Kansas City, Mo. at Swope Soccer Village. The top eight teams in the conference advance to tournament play in hopes of claiming the conference postseason title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship. All quarterfinal and semifinal round matches will be streamed live by the Big 12 Digital Network, while the championship match will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1. Fans looking to attend the tournament can purchase tickets by going to SeatGeek.com.

BROKE THE STREAK
After going winless in 10-straight games, the Sooners broke the streak, picking up their first win in over a month. OU downed Kansas State in a gritty 3-2 victory on Sunday to earn its first Big 12 win of the season and snap the winless streak.

TEXAS SOONERS
Five Sooners hail from the state of Texas, and will return to their home state for the second time this season: senior Tori Bowman (Colleyville), senior Madeline Brem (Flower Mound). Freshman Darbey Hargrove (Houston), junior Marissa McMahand (Round Rock) and senior Paige Welch (Austin).

The Red Raiders have scored 21 goals this season, allowing 17 to opponents. Ally Griffin leads the team with 11 points (5g, 1a) and has appeared in all 17 games this season.
