NORMAN – Oklahoma’s men’s gymnastics program swept a trio of USA Gymnastics awards Monday, as junior Yul Moldauer, head coach Mark Williams and former Sooner Alex Naddour took home annual honors following last weekend’s P&G Championships in Anaheim, Calif.
Moldauer was named the organization’s Sportsperson of the Year after he won his first national title in the all-around at the P&G Championships. He will compete on the six-person U.S. team at the World Championships held in Montreal Oct. 2-8.
Williams earned his fourth Coach of the Year accolade while Naddour, a 2016 Olympic medalist, claimed Athlete of the Year. Winner of the pommel horse crown in Anaheim on Saturday, Naddour was also named to the World Championships team.
U.S. team alternates include 2017 Sooner graduates Allan Bower and Colin Van Wicklen, who finished second and sixth, respectively, in the all-around at the P&G Championships.
