No. 38 Oklahoma (12-7, 2-5 Big 12) comes into the weekend following a 4-0 loss at Oklahoma State. The Sooners dropped the doubles point to open the match, but put up a fight in singles play. When play was halted, OU led on the last three courts, with Lily Miyazaki, Christie Brigante and Ann Selim all just a game away from a victory.

Miyazaki represents Oklahoma in the ITA singles rankings, clocking in at No. 30. The junior is 11-4 on court one, with all of her victories in straight sets.

The Sooners’ freshman tandem of Julie Byrne and Ann Selim continue to play beyond their years, with Byrne matching Miyazaki’s 11-4 singles record, while Selim has posted a 10-4 mark on the year.

Malene Stripp and Byrne are also ranked No. 78 nationally, compiling a 7-3 record in the top flight in doubles.

At No. 1 doubles, Budai and Maty Cancini are 11-6 together on the year.
