A constant in the Oklahoma starting lineup for the past four seasons, senior guard Jordan Woodard's career came to an unexpected close this past weekend after suffering a knee injury against Iowa State. Woodard boasts one of the best statistical careers in Oklahoma history. To celebrate his time in the Crimson and Cream, SoonerSports.com breaks down the numbers from his career.
Jordan Woodard donned his No. 10 Oklahoma uniform for 125 career games over four seasons, starting in 124 of his collegiate contests.
From the time Woodard began his freshman season, he was a starter in Lon Kruger's lineup. Woodard started 115 consecutive games for the Sooners from Nov. 8, 2013 to Dec. 17, 2016. Before his streak was broken due to injury (missed Dec. 21 game against Auburn), Woodard's 115 consecutive starts marked the second-longest active streak in Division I basketball.
Woodard played in 84 Sooner victories - including six wins in the NCAA Tournament. Woodard was a part of two Sweet 16 squads and the 2016 Final Four team.
With 1,440 points, Woodard sits in 14th on OU's career scoring list and fifth among guards. He averaged 11.5 points per game.
Tied for fourth on OU's all-time career assists list, Woodard passed out 471 dimes as a Sooner. His assist total was the most by any Sooner to have played at Oklahoma in the past 25 years. Woodard surpassed legends such as Hollis Price (462) and Mookie Blaylock (465) during the last month of his career.
Woodard is one of only three Sooners to collect over 180 steals and 470 assists. His 186 steals rank seventh in the OU records book.
With 440 made foul shots and a .812 career free throw percentage, Woodard is the first player in OU history to finish his collegiate career with more than 400 made free throws at a rate of better than 80 percent.
