Shawna Anderson enters her second year with the Sooners as a volunteer assistant coach, working alongside Coach Rodney Harrison with sprints, hurdles and relays.
A native of Clarendon, Jamaica, Anderson’s collegiate track career began at South Plains College. She transferred to the University of Oklahoma, where she earned All-America recognition, and returned to her alma mater as a volunteer assistant in August 2016.
As an undergraduate student, Anderson earned her bachelor’s degree in human relations. She is now working toward a master’s degree in human relations while serving as a graduate teaching assistant for Dr. George Henderson.
