Robinson, USK Prague Win EuroLeague Title

PRAGUE – Danielle Robinson stole the show Sunday night.

The former Oklahoma women’s basketball standout helped lead ZVVZ USK Prague to its first ever FIBA EuroLeague Women’s title after stunning favorite UMMC Ekaterinburg 72-68 in the championship contest Sunday.

Robinson was tabbed the ‘hero’ in upsetting UMMC Ekaterinburg. Her incredible energy and quickness, along with 10 points, gave ZVVZ USK Prague the momentum in the very-important third quarter. The guard closed out the contest with a team-high 24 points, including 18 coming in the second stanza.

She finished the game sinking an impressive 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from the field and added four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in the 4-point victory.

ZVVZ USK Prague made its way to the championship contest with a 69-42 win over Fenerbahce in the semifinals Friday, April 10. Robinson, who also plays in the WNBA for the San Antonio Silver Stars, played 25 minutes in the semifinal victory and scored four points, grabbed five rebounds and passed out one assist.
