NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma wrestling program will hold its annual Sooner Wrestling Golf Classic on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Westwood Park Golf Course, with all proceeds going to the OU Takedown Club.
Registration and lunch are slated to begin at 11:30 a.m, while the four-person scramble, shotgun start format tournament will start at 1 p.m. The course is located at 2400 Westport Drive in Norman. Cost of the tournament is $100 per individual or $400 for a team of four. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place finishers, in addition to hole prizes and giveaways.
Following the tournament, dinner will be held at approximately 6 p.m. at Westwood Park. Cost is $20 per person. For $250, one can choose to sponsor a hole during the event. Hole sponsors will have their company’s name prominently displayed on one of the 18 holes.
Prior to the OU football game against Kansas State on Saturday, Oct. 18, a continental breakfast will be provided from 9-10 a.m. inside the Wrestling Team Room in McCasland Field House. At 10 a.m., the public is invited to watch the wrestling squad practice.
