NORMAN, Okla. – For the third consecutive year, Oklahoma’s John Roddick was named the Big 12 Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year, as postseason awards were announced by the conference Wednesday.

Roddick, who tied for co-coach of the year honors with Texas head coach Michael Center, led the Sooners to a share of the 2014 Big 12 regular season title. It was the fourth conference trophy the team has collected in the past three seasons following a regular season sweep in 2012 and tournament championships in 2012 and 2013.

Harris combined for an 18-4 dual match singles record, going 10-4 at No. 3 singles and 8-0 in the No. 4 spot. Harris teamed with Dane Webb for a 12-7 record as the Sooners’ No. 1 doubles duo.

Oklahoma placed a league high on the All-Big 12 Men’s Team. Guillermo Alcorta, Axel Alvarez, Webb and Harris were named to both singles and doubles squads. Totaled, Roddick has coached 29 All-Big 12 Team members in five seasons at OU.

Whitney Ritchie and Hermon Brhane were selected to the All-Big 12 Women’s Singles Team. Ritchie and Mia Lancaster also partnered for a doubles selection, the 17th and 18th All-Big 12 members coached by David Mullins.
