*UPDATE* - The 350 additional seats have sold out as of 12:05 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7.
NORMAN, Okla. – Due to high demand, the University of Oklahoma has increased capacity for softball’s Bedlam finale.
Previously announced as a sellout, the addition of temporary bleachers down the first and third-base lines will provide an additional 350 seats for Oklahoma’s regular season finale against Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 11.
Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office at 800-456-GoOU. The general admission seats will be $8 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 6-18) and senior citizens (ages 55 and older).
Prior to the contest, Oklahoma will be presented with the 2014 Big 12 Championship trophy, which the Sooners clinched a share with Sunday’s 13-0 victory over Texas Tech. A win Saturday in Stillwater against the Cowgirls would give OU the outright title.
In addition, Oklahoma’s senior class of Javen Henson, Destinee Martinez and Brittany Williams will be recognized in a postgame ceremony.
Oklahoma took the first meeting against Oklahoma State on April 2, winning 2-0. Sophomore Kelsey Stevens threw a six-hit shutout, while fellow sophomore Erin Miller had an RBI single and junior Shelby Pendley added a solo home run for the team’s seventh straight Bedlam win.
