The third varsity eight secured the highest finish of the Sooner crews on the day, taking second in 8:11.0 behind Texas and ahead of No. 18 Clemson, No. 21 Oregon State, Duke, Tennessee and No. 24 Michigan State.
In the varsity eight race, the Sooners came in fifth with a time of 7:23.2, finishing ahead of Tennessee and Texas. Oregon State won the heat in 7:08.4.
The second varsity eight finished the course in 7:32.7, good for fourth behind Clemson, Oregon State and No. 25 Gonzaga and ahead of Texas, Tennessee and Columbia.
The second varsity four also placed fourth at 9:12.4 ahead of Michigan State and Tennessee while the varsity four took sixth in their race, finishing in 9:13.1.
OU will be back out on the water starting at 6:59 a.m. CT on Sunday morning with the varsity eight. Races will be streamed live online here. The first 1,000 meters will be broadcast via audio stream with the final 1,000 meters of each race shown on live video stream. A second session of racing is also currently schedule to take place shortly after session one.
