NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma rowing team is set for a weekend of strong competition at the Lake Natoma Invitational in Gold River, Calif., this Saturday and Sunday.

The Sooners will join some of the best crews in the nation, including six teams currently ranked top 10 in the country. No. 1 Cal, No. 4 USC, No. 6 Brown, No. 7 Stanford, No. 9 Notre Dame and No. 20 San Diego, in addition to Sacramento State and Kansas, will compete this weekend.

Oklahoma will start the Invitational racing against Notre Dame and USC in the morning starting at 8:10 a.m. PT with the varsity four. The Sooners will then go against Brown and San Diego in the second session later Saturday afternoon.

Lake Natoma will be Oklahoma's second regatta of the spring after opening the year three weeks ago at the Longhorn Invitational. In Austin, OU won 14 races, including a sweep of rival Texas on the final day of competition. The Sooners also swept UCF and totaled four wins against Kansas State. Every OU boat won at least once with the first varsity four, second varsity four and third varsity eight going undefeated on the weekend.

For results, fans can follow @OU_Rowing or @NatomaInvite on Twitter or go to Calbears.com. The event will also be shown on Pac-12 Networks at a later date.
