2nd - Weekend Sweep
Oklahoma defeated CSU Bakersfield, 4-2, on Friday night before a doubleheader sweep on Saturday by scores of 17-4 and 4-3. The Sooners trailed 4-0 after three innings in game two of the weekend and scored 17 unanswered, including 10 in the seventh inning to erase a one-run lead, en route to the win. Neuse fueled the OU offense with two three-run homers as he totaled eight RBI and went 3-for-6. Senior RHP Kindle Ladd (2-1) pitched 4.1-scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.

3rd - Scouting the Golden Eagles
Oral Roberts is 14-16 overall and 4-8 in the Southland Conference. The Golden Eagles took a 7-4 decision over Sam Houston State at home on Friday before dropping each of the next two to the Bearkats. Shortstop Jose Trevino leads an ORU lineup that lacks a .300 hitter at .283. He has knocked in 23 runs and scored 20 to go with five home runs. Right-hander Pepe Gomez holds a team-best 1.91 ERA and 3-3 record.

4th - Shave for the Brave
On Thursday, Oklahoma held its “Shave for the Brave” event to join the fight against childhood cancer. The Sooners, with a goal of $20,000, raised over $26,000 through the Vs. Cancer Foundation to raise money for cancer research. Half of the money donated will be dedicated to the OU Children’s Hospital. The event also served as an opportunity for the Sooners in their countdown to 19 Ways.

5th - Not-So-Newcomer
Neuse claimed his second Big 12 Newcomer of the Week award on April 7. He shared the honor with K-State’s Tanner DeVinny. Neuse hit .389 (7-for-18) with nine RBI, including two three-run home runs. He slugged .833, stole two bases and pitched one scoreless inning. Neuse’s eight RBI in game two of the weekend marked the most RBI in a game for a Sooner since Chris Ebright had nine vs. Oklahoma City (3/28/87).

6th - All-Time vs. ORU
Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Oral Roberts, 37-30 and had a streak of five straight wins in the series snapped last month. Prior to that, the Golden Eagles won four out of six contests. The Sooners won at the 2010 Norman Regional, 7-6, while ORU won at the 2011 Fort Worth Regional, 7-0.

7th - Last Time They Met
Gomez pitched a complete-game shutout in a 3-0 win for Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles scored one run in the second and two in the sixth as Gomez held Oklahoma to just five hits.
