Penn State is in third place after shooting a 293 (+13) while 12th-ranked Arizona and 29th-ranked Virginia are tied for fourth after carding a 294 (+14).

Anne-Catherine Tanguay leads the Sooners through 18 holes, logging a first-round 72 (+2). The senior is tied for seventh place out of 81 competitors.

OU senior Chirapat Jao-Javanil and freshman Alexandra Kaui each recorded a 4-over 74 (+4) and are tied for 25th place.

Fifth-year Sooner head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said she is anxious to see how her team progresses in the final two rounds.

“It played tough out there today,” Drouin-Luttrell said. “We hung in there and are only three shots out of the lead. We have two more days to get better.”
