Oklahoma collected its first win in Ames, Iowa, since 2008. In the Sooners’ last victory at Hilton Coliseum, then freshman Danielle Robinson scored a then-career high 23 points.

Oklahoma led 30-26 at halftime. Iowa State’s final eight points of the first half came from eight free throw attempts.

Aaryn Ellenberg scored 22 points with 20 coming in the second half. Her first made field goal came on her second attempt with 3:32 remaining in the first half, increasing OU’s lead to 24-18.

After averaging 26 points in the paint in Big 12 play, the Sooners outscored Iowa State 36 to 22 in points in the paint.

Sharane Campbell totaled a game-high nine rebounds. A guard has led the Sooners in rebounding in eight straight games. Campbell has had the high in six of those games.

The win was Sherri Coale’s 393rd as the Sooners’ head coach.

With four 3-pointers made, Aaryn Ellenberg is 51 shy of the NCAA career record of 392.
