NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma men's basketball team is No. 25 in this week's AP Top 25 Poll, marking the first time since Nov. 23, 2009, that the Sooners are ranked in one of the two major polls.

With 103 points, the Sooners are tied with UCLA for the 25th spot. They are one of five Big 12 schools in this week's poll, more than any other conference.

Oklahoma is just outside the top 25 in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll, landing in the No. 29 position.

OU, the only Big 12 team with five players averaging double figures in points, enters the week with a 13-3 overall record and a 2-1 Big 12 mark (tied for second place). It is coming off an 87-82 Saturday win over then-No. 9/7 Iowa State, which was 14-0 entering the game.

The Sooners' only three losses have been to No. 4/4 Michigan State (15-1), No. 15/18 Kansas (11-4) and Louisiana Tech in overtime (14-3; receiving votes in the AP poll).

Lon Kruger's squad, which leads the Big 12 and ranks fifth nationally by averaging 87.0 points per game, plays a pair of road games this week. The Sooners will be at Kansas State for a Tuesday 6 p.m. contest (ESPN2) and at No. 12/13 Baylor on Saturday at 1 p.m. (ESPN).
