Because of the excitement down the stretch, we weren't able to get a lot up until postgame. Sooners take the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl 45-31 over No. 3 Alabama. BOOMER SOONER!

The Sooners have taken a 38-24 lead thanks to an incredible scramble and pass from Trevor Knight, and defense that has sacked AJ McCarron repeatedly in the second half.


Start of Fourth Quarter | 31-24, Oklahoma

1:26, Third Quarter | 31-24, Oklahoma

The Sooners and tied and locked into a Sugar Bowl battle. Alabama has the only score so far of the third quarter. Jerry Montgomery's defensive line has helped that cause by pressuring McCarron.


Halftime | 31-17, Oklahoma

Oklahoma has headed to the locker room for halftime, leading Alabama by a pair of touchdowns here at the Superdome in New Orleans in the 80th Allstate Sugar Bowl.

The Sooners are pumped on the sideline, and the Superdome is rocking with OU fans.

Saunders and Knight connected for another TD to give OU a touchdown lead.

Grissom celebrates his fumble and rumble to the OU 34. Sooners get their second takeaway of the game.

Hunnicutt knocked in a 47-yard field goal and the game is tied.

The Sooners add another TD, this time Saunders from Knight, to take a 14-10 lead.

The Sooners had a 10:15 a.m. wake up and the first event of the day is brunch. Late kick-offs provide an opportunity to sleep in, fuel up, attend chapel, and get motivated for the game with plenty of time to spare.
