• Oklahoma shot 45.3 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from 3-point range in a 78-56 home win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to improve to 7-1 on the year.  The game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., was played at 2 p.m. due to winter weather.

• OU forced a season-high 20 turnovers while committing just nine (one more than its season low).  The Sooners posted a 22-9 advantage in points off turnovers.

• After all five starters scored at least 10 points in each of the previous two games, only two Sooners reached double figures today (Buddy Hield had 18 points and Isaiah Cousins 12).

• Hield has scored in double figures in all eight games this season after doing it seven times all of last year.  He made a career-high eight field goals today on 14 attempts and registered three dunks in his 25 minutes.

• After never scoring more than 10 points in a game in his career prior to two weeks ago, Cousins has scored at least 10 in each of the last five outings.  The sophomore is averaging 14.0 points on 50.0 percent field goal and 53.3 (8-for-15) 3-point shooting during the stretch.  He is shooting 50.0 percent from behind the arc on the year (9-for-18).

• Senior Cameron Clark finished with eight points, marking the first time this year he failed to reach double figures.  He was averaging 18.9 points entering the day but was held to 2-for-6 shooting on the afternoon.

• Sophomore Ryan Spangler was 3-for-6 from the field, marking the first time this season he failed to shoot at least 60.0 percent from the field.  He finished with six points and a team-high nine rebounds while blocking two shots.  He has 13 blocks over the last six outings.

• Junior D.J. Bennett recorded career highs of nine points and five blocked shots while grabbing three rebounds in 14 minutes.  He was 3-for-5 from the field (all dunks) and 3-for-3 from the free throw line (he entered the game 3-for-8 at the foul line).

• Freshman guard Frank Booker tied career highs with nine points and three rebounds in his 15 minutes.  He was 2-for-6 from 3-point range.

• Freshman point guard Jordan Woodard contributed eight points and four assists while committing just one turnover.  During the three-game home stand, he racked up 14 assists against just two turnovers.  Woodard has a 2.9 assist-to-turnover ratio on the season.

• Oklahoma plays against George Mason on Sunday at noon CT in Washington, D.C., as part of the BB&T Classic (OU’s game will precede Maryland-George Washington).  The game will be played at Verizon Center and will be televised by MASN and FS Southwest.
