Oklahoma played its first game as a team ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press Poll since the 2010-11 season opener.
Oklahoma’s 99 points was an opponent team record for UT-Arlington, who’s previous record for points given up was 93.
Oklahoma counted 20 steals, its highest total since 21 in a 118-52 win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Dec. 29, 2010. The 20 steals matched the second highest total for a Sherri Coale-coached team.
Oklahoma played nearly all the final six minutes with five true freshmen on the floor. Freshman guard T'ona Edwards led the game with eight assists; freshman forward Shaya Kellogg led OU with seven rebounds; and freshman guard Gioya Carter made her first career start, totaling nine points, six assists and three steals.
Hook became the 28th Sooner to reach the 1,000 points scored benchmark with her first field goal Wednesday. Hook finished the game with eight points.
Ellenberg passed 300 3-point field goals with her first trey Wednesday and added three more for a 303 career total. Ellenberg trails the NCAA record for career 3-pointers made (392, Laurie Koehn, Kansas Statte, 2002-05) by 89.
Ellenberg extended her Oklahoma record for consecutive games making at least one 3-pointer to 27 games.
Wyatt matched OU’s freshman single-game record for 3-pointers (Aaryn Ellenberg and Morgan Hook) made with seven. Wyatt made her first five 3-point field goal attempts and finished the game 7-of-11 from beyond the arc.
