NORMAN, Okla. -- After two rounds at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate, the 10th-ranked University of Oklahoma men’s golf team shares fourth place with Northwestern with a score of 581 (+5). The 14-team event is being played at the Erin Hills Golf Course, a 7,234-yard, par-72 track located in Erin, Wis.

The Sooners, who recorded a 3-over 291 in the second round, sit 16 strokes behind leader and No. 11-ranked Stanford. OU trails second place and 31st-ranked SMU by five strokes and UCLA by just one stroke. The tournament is the first-ever collegiate event to be held at Erin Hills Golf Course, which will be the site of the 2017 U.S. Open.

Stanford’s Patrick Rodgers and SMU’s Bryson Dechambeau currently sit in first place with a two-day total of 140 (-4).

Michael Gellerman is leading the Sooners with a two-round 144 (E). The junior has fired even-par scores of 72 for both rounds, good for a tie for 11th place. Gellerman pocketed four birdies in the round.

With a 146 (+2), sophomore Beau Titsworth and senior Michael Schoolcraft share 20th place. On Monday, Titsworth carded a 2-over 74, while Schoolcraft shot a 71 (-1), four strokes better than his first-round total.

Junior Charlie Saxon shot a 2-over 74 for the second 18 holes, bringing his 36-hole total to 149 (+5). Saxon is tied for 36th place.

Freshman Max McGreevy, who shot a 1-under 71 in the first round, recorded a 10-over 82 Monday, dropping him from seventh place to a tie for 54th with a 153 (+9).

Competing as an individual in his first collegiate tournament, freshman Emilio Maurer matched his first round score of 76 (+4) Monday, bringing his two-round total to 152 (+8). Maurer is tied for 49th place.

The final round of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate will tee off at 8:30 a.m. CT Tuesday from holes No. 1 and No. 10. Live scoring (updated every three holes) will be available at www.golfstatresults.com.
