May 28, 2014 Question
If a prospect who has signed with OU needs a place to stay for a few days this summer before he can move into the dorms, can I allow him to stay in my extra bedroom free of charge?

Answer:
No. Free or reduced-cost housing cannot be provided to either prospects or student-athletes, even for short times. The student-athlete in this situation should not come to campus before the dorm move-in date if at all possible, and should make the compliance office and her coaches aware of the situation if other permissible housing arrangements need to be made.
