  Welcome

Headington Hall is the premiere college housing facilities in the country. The building is named for OU graduate and former OU tennis player Tim Headington. Mr. Headington has given generously to the University of Oklahoma and his passion for helping to provide the very best environments to facilitate student success is abundantly clear in the facilities that bear his name. Many former Sooner student-athletes have also made significant contributions to the project, including football greats Sam Bradford and Adrian Peterson. No doubt, Headington Hall would not be the spectacular facility it is without the generosity of each donor who has helped make this project possible.

Headington Hall will replace the Sooner Housing Center, which has provided housing to students since 1943. Headington Hall will provide housing for 384 incoming OU students, including a balance of students who are involved in athletics and those who are not. Both the design and the planned operations of Headington Hall will prioritize creating an engaging community living experience for its residents.

Headington Hall offers state of the art amenities for residents. It offers three unique suites, all of which are fully furnished. The facility is equipped with common areas, study rooms, and entertainment lounges. These areas enable residents to socialize and interact with fellow hall mates. Our new Dining Hall is equally exciting, featuring demonstration cooking stations and made-to-order menu items keeping choices fresh, and offering healthy and delicious meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Headington Hall is staffed with experienced housing professionals. Supported by student workers, our team ensures an ideal living environment for all residents. In addition, Headington Hall houses an OU faculty member as part of the Faculty-In-Residence Program. This faculty member will join the Headington Hall community with his or her family. The FIR serves as a resource for residents throughout their first year experience at OU.
