|The OU rowing program competes and trains at the Exchange
Boathouse on the scenic Oklahoma River. Part of Oklahoma City's Boathouse
District, it is one of the world's premier sites for rowing.
The Exchange Boathouse is located in the Western Basin of the Oklahoma River, a 4,000 meter training course that is included in the river's designation as a U.S. Olympic and Paralympic training site.
Located just 2.5 miles west of the Boathouse District, the Exchange Boathouse echoes elements of the other three Boathouse District facilities with its translucent polycarbonate walls and columns of light illuminating the night sky.
The facility has served as the home of the Sooners since the program's inception in 2008. Plans are currently being made for a new boathouse for OU. The facility will join the Chesapeake Boathouse, Devon Boathouse and Chesapeake Finish Line Tower in the Boathouse District in downtown Oklahoma City.
The Exchange Boathouse is located at 1409 Exchange Ave. in Oklahoma City. The facility is situated on the south bank of the Oklahoma River. A map is available here.
