All-American: Mark Hutson

Rufus Alexander

Mark Hutson, OG - 1986, 1987
Mark Hutson was a consensus All-American in 1987 and a first-team choice in 1986. He was named to the all-conference team from 1985-87.

Described by then assistant head coach Merv Johnson as "one of the most fundamentally solid and sound linemen I have ever worked with," he made the transition from tackle to guard at the beginning of the 1985 season. Hutson led a unit that was so good it earned player of the week nomination after the opening game of the 1986 season against UCLA.

He was a third-round draft choice by the Dallas Cowboys in 1988.
