Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

NORMAN, Okla. -- Head coach Randy Evans announced the Sooners' 2007 spring soccer schedule on Friday, Feb. 16. 

Oklahoma will begin action next weekend on Saturday, Feb. 24 against TCU and Air Force at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, in Austin Texas.

The Sooners, who return eight starters from the 2006 squad that finished 8-11-1 overall and 3-6-1 in Big 12 play, will play three games in Norman throughout the spring, including the Alumni Game which will conclude the season on Saturday, April 28.

Evans and company will also be joined in the spring with two of the newcomers from the recently announced recruiting class, Whitney Palmer and Christina Cooper.  Click here for a complete look at the 2007 signing class.

OU's first home game is slated for March 1 at 2 p.m. against Southern Methodist University at the OU Soccer Complex.  The Sooners will also face Central Oklahoma in Norman on April 21.
