The University of Oklahoma women's soccer team came away with a Big 12 victory when it defeated Colorado, 1-0, Sunday in front of 757 fans in Boulder, Colo. The Sooners improved to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference while Colorado fell to 5-7 and 1-3 in the Big 12.

Junior forward Jonette Coquat scored the game's lone goal at the 24:53 mark after receiving a pass from sophomore forward Krissy Dawson. The assist gave Dawson her first point of the season.

OU sophomore goalkeeper Jana Cunningham (5-4) registered 13 saves and picked up the shutout victory. Her 3.5 shutouts on the season are a Sooner record and Oklahoma's four team shutouts are a single-season mark as well. The Buffaloes' Danielle Bassett (3-4) took the loss.

"It was a great game and this was a big win for us," said Oklahoma Head Coach Randy Evans. "Although we had some terrific chances to score in the first half, our defense balanced that with some great plays as well."

The Sooners host Baylor in their next game Friday at 7 p.m. at the OU Soccer Complex. The facility is located at the corner of Chautauqua Ave. and Imhoff Rd. in Norman.
