NORMAN, Okla. -- On Sunday, Sept. 4, OU looks to avenge a 2010 loss at Missouri State (2-1) when the Bears arrive for a 7 p.m. game. Missouri State recorded a pair of 2-1 victories last weekend on the road at Tennessee-Martin and Vanderbilt. The Bears began the year with a 3-1 loss at Arkansas-Little Rock. MSU lost at home on Friday to Kansas, 3-1.
Eight starters return from the 2010 MSU team that posted a second-place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 4-1-1 mark (10-6-3 overall). The Bears, led by sophomore forward Rachel Weimer's two goals and five points, were picked to finish third in the 2011 Missouri Valley Conference coaches' preseason poll.
The Sooners won the first three meetings with Missouri State prior to the 2010 defeat in Springfield. The Bears won 3-2 last season but were outscored 5-0 in the three games held in Norman.

OU hits the road and for a pair of non-conference games in Arizona. On Friday, Sept. 9, OU battles Arizona State in Tempe at 6:30 p.m. CT. OU and ASU have met once previously in 2004. The Sooners won that game, 1-0, in Tempe on Sept. 19.
On Sunday, Sept. 4, OU faces Arizona at 12 p.m. CT. in Tempe, Ariz. The Sooners and Wildcats have meet once back in 2002. OU won that game, 2-0, in Norman on Sept. 15.
Player to Watch - Caitlin Mooney
Caitlin Mooney tied two program records with six points and two assists. Only two other Sooners in program history have had six points in a game, but both were recorded on three-goal performances. Whitney Palmer had the hat trick against Tulsa on Aug 30, 2010 and Logan Womack also had a hat trick against Baylor on Sept. 27, 2002. Friday's game was reminiscent of Mooney's debut in a Sooner uniform during last year's exhibition game against Northern Colorado when she had three goals in the second half.
2011 Stats: Five games played (five starts), 3 goals, 2 assists
