NORMAN, Okla. – University of Oklahoma head volleyball coach Santiago Restrepo has announced the signing of Taylor Migliazzo of Kansas City, Mo., to a national-letter-of-intent. Migliazzo will join the Sooners for the 2012 season.

“This is the tallest, most physical class we’ve signed since I’ve been at Oklahoma,” Restrepo said. “We’re very excited for the opportunity to teach these young ladies and continue the tradition we’ve established. Taylor is someone who will add depth to our defensive specialist position. It’s an area that’s key in our match preparation, and she’s a gifted passer and very good defender.”

Migliazzo was a two-time Missouri all-state selection at St. Teresa’s Academy in Kansas City. She holds the school’s career and single season record for digs and was a two-time all-district selection. Migliazzo earned a spot on the UnderArmour High School All-America Watch List and was named to the Missouri all-star senior team this past year.

“Oklahoma has a great volleyball program,” Migliazzo said. “The academics are also very strong.”
