Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma State guaranteed itself a Bedlam Series win Saturday afternoon by defeating Oklahoma, 6-3, in game two of the three-game set at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark. After run-ruling the Sooners 11-1 in Friday night's contest, the Cowboys (37-18, 15-14 Big 12) spotted three runs in the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie and upend the Sooners (23-30-1, 13-15-1 Big 12).

With the game tied at three, OU starting pitcher Evan Greusel (3-5) ran into trouble in the sixth inning as OSU registered three-consecutive hits, including a RBI-double by third baseman Zach Cates (1-for-4) to bring home the decisive run. Oklahoma State's centerfielder Jimbo McAuliff (3-for-3) then drove in two more runs in the frame with a single two batters later to give the Pokes the 6-3 advantage.

Senior leftfielder Greg Dobbs paced the Sooners offensively by going 3-for-3 at the plate with one run scored and two RBIs and raised his batting average on the season to .428. Dobbs' performance helped him match a career-high 14-game hitting streak which he set earlier this season.

Dobbs drove in his first run to begin the scoring for the Sooners in the first inning when he singled home freshman second baseman Matt Fisher (1-for-3) with two outs for the first run of the game. In his next plate appearance, the Moreno Valley, Calif., native again nailed a run-scoring hit with two away as he laced a triple to plate junior shortstop Sergio Garcia (0-for-3) from first base in the third frame to break a 2-2 tie.

Senior catcher Sean Smith (1-for-4) accounted for the Sooners other run when he followed Dobbs' run-scoring hit in the first inning with a RBI-double to plate Dobbs for a 2-0 Sooner lead.

Oklahoma will look to salvage a victory in the series tomorrow as the two teams play in the final game at 2 p.m. at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. The game is also scheduled to be televised live on the Sooner Television Network.
